We are really pleased to have ultimate fashion icon Twiggy as a supporter of the Fur Free zone
, click here to read what she has to say.

This site has been created to inform people like you of businesses that do and don't sell fur.

All we ask is that you actively protest against the fur trade by boycotting shops that sell fur, either as clothing or as novelty items - such as the toy cats made from real cat fur that have begun to appear in many shops over the last few years.

"Heroes" are shops that have signed the Fur Free pledge stating that they don't and never will sell fur.

In return they get the right to display one of our window stickers - displaying to the world that they are a compassionate business. Plus they get a place in the "Heroes" section of our website.

The flip side are the "Villains", they are shops that do sell fur and have been politely asked to sign our pledge not to.

We give them two weeks to think about it and then if they still decline to sign, they are put into "Villains" section of the website and we publicise the fact as widely as we can through email alerts, other websites, flyers, peaceful pickets etc. that they are a cruel business.

The aim is to put pressure on businesses selling fur and encourage people to boycott them.

Of course you can whether you are a business who wants to be a "Hero" or an individual who wants to get more involved in the campaign. Either way just email us.

The scheme is piloting in Brighton at present, but we hope to expand it through out the UK and even the world, so if you live in another town or even country please get in touch.

To help shops identify themselves as "Fur Free" we have launched the "Fur Free Zone" window sticker

This is what is left when you have taken the fur from a silver fox. The reality is the same for all other animals whose fur is taken to make clothes or novelties.
